Julia began her ballet training at the age of 8 at the All American Classical Ballet School in her hometown of Tampa, Florida. During her formative years there, she honed her technical skill and artistic expression, achieving success in numerous ballet competitions. In 2019, Julia earned recognition as a finalist and prize winner at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne, an accomplishment that marked a pivotal point in her career aspirations.
At the age of 16, Julia moved to London to continue her education at the Royal Ballet School Upper School, where she received world-class training. Throughout her studies, she was privileged to work with renowned choreographers of the ballet world, including Wayne McGregor, David Bintley, and Didy Veldman. As a student, Julia also had the rare opportunity to perform with the Royal Ballet Company in their acclaimed productions of Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake, as well as with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker. In addition to her ballet training, Julia pursued academic studies at the University of Roehampton, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Dance Studies, further enriching her understanding of dance theory and history.
Upon graduating from the Royal Ballet School in 2022, Julia joined the Cape Town City Ballet in South Africa as a professional dancer. There, she performed a wide repertoire, including celebrated works such as Romeo and Juliet, Serenade, Cinderella, Carmen, and A Christmas Carol. Julia continues to showcase her passion for ballet through her dedication to both the technical and artistic aspects of the art form, contributing to the rich cultural landscape of her profession.
