Bethanny knew even before the age of three she wanted to pursuea career in the performing arts. In third grade, she began taking balletclasses at Expanding Harmony Dance Studio in Brookings, South Dakota, at whichtime dance quickly moved from a hobby to a passion.
Under the direction of Melissa Hauschild-Mork, Jerilyn Ommen,and Tabitha Hudson-Wedemeyer, Bethanny was able to study choreographic creationand various technical theater elements as well as ballet, tap, modern, jazz,and musical theater dance. She has choreographed numerous shows (Annie, SevenBrides for Seven Brothers, Bye-Bye Birdie), designed costumesfor local theater companies (Annie, The Music Man, Anneof Green Gables), assisted in casting for American Girl"Isabella" dance promotions, and created various concert works (TheSlant, In The Shade of A Tree, Let There Be, WhatCan I Do) both in workshop and for performance.
Bethanny is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfullycompleted the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 ofthe ABT® National Training Curriculum. She loves teaching and strives to createa classroom environment that is fun and encouraging while always challengingstudents to grow to the next level.
